12 Bible verses to increase your faith

12 Bible verses to increase your faith

Faith is a powerful thing.

It can help you get through tough times, inspire hope in your heart, and even give you the strength to take on things that seem impossible.

The good news is that the Bible has many verses that are meant to increase your faith.

These verses can be found in the New Testament but also in the Old Testament.

God wants you to know that he is there for you and will never leave you or forsake you.

In fact, these verses will remind us all how much our Holy Father loves us!

Here are 12 bible verses to increase your faith

1. For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. – Jeremiah 29:11

This is a great verse by which people should live their lives by.

It will give them hope knowing that God has a plan for each and every one of us.

And his plan for us is a good one.

He does not have plans to harm us but rather plans that will prosper us and lead us down the right path in life.

2. “And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive if you have faith.” – Matthew 21:22

This is a great verse for people who are struggling with their faith or just need some encouragement from God himself!

It is a reminder that whatever we ask in prayer, we will receive.

Now that is a powerful statement!

And it means just what it says – whatever you seek from God through prayer, he will give to you.

So if your faith has been low and praying has not yielded any results so far, this verse should help renew your hope in the power of prayer.

And if you are not sure what to pray for, this verse will give you an example of a prayer request: it is saying that we will receive whatever it is we seek.

So praying for something specific, for example, help with a job or overcoming sickness, would be a good option.

The point is that God will give us what we are seeking, but it must be something that both honors him and that he can bless upon our lives!

3. “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” – Philippians 4:13

This is a very powerful verse.

It means you can do all things through Christ.

This is a great verse for those who may be struggling with something or feel as if life is just too difficult.

It is a reminder that with Christ, you have the strength to get through anything life throws at us.

In fact, it reminds us that we do not have to go at it alone because Jesus himself will give us strength.

So if you are struggling with something big, or maybe even small, this verse will give you hope that you can get through it all.

But also to be mindful of the things we ask God for help with because he is more than willing to do anything if your heart and mind are in the right place!

This goes back to what I said in the second verse – we must pray for things that honor God and are good in his eyes.

So anything you ask him to do, whether it be amazing healing powers over a terminal illness or just help with your day-to-day life.

It’s all about having faith in Jesus Christ and leaning on him for all you need!

4. “If we are faithless, He remains faithful, for he cannot disown himself.” – 2 Timothy 2:13

This is a great verse to meditate upon and apply to your life.

It says that if we are faithless, God will remain faithful because he cannot disown himself.

In other words – even if you have been unfaithful or walked away from him in some way, he wants you back!

He loves us too much to ever leave us.

So have faith in the power of his love and forgiveness, for it endures forever!

And remember that he will always be there, waiting with open arms for you whenever you are ready to return home.

5. “For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control” – 2 Timothy 1:7

This is a great verse to have in mind when you are feeling fearful.

It reminds us that God gave us the spirit of power, not fear.

So anything that makes you fear or feel anxious about can be overcome by the power of God!

And this is important because it means that we don’t have to fear anything because God is in control.

So whatever you are feeling fearful about, whether it be a big or small thing, God is right there beside you to give you strength and courage.

He has your back no matter what!

6. “So faith comes from hearing and hearing through the word of Christ” – Romans 10:17.

For you to have faith, you have to hear the word of God.

It is a simple concept but one that requires action on our part.

So when it says that you have to hear the word of Christ, this means reading the scriptures and listening to the word of God.

So if your faith is low, a great way to increase it is by spending more time in the word.

Read your Bible, listen to it on audio if that is easier for you and just immerse yourself in God’s words.

And then, you will start to see the changes that come with having a renewed faith in God!

It is truly incredible.

7. “For nothing will be impossible with God.” – Luke 1:37

It means that nothing will be impossible for you to do with God on your side!

And what is also great about this verse is that we all have something we want to accomplish, but sometimes it just seems too difficult and overwhelming.

But God can do anything, so why not take a step back and ask him for help in your goals, dreams, or desires.

And then trust that he will give you the strength to get through it all.

So let go of your fears and trust in God because he is more than enough!

8. And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. – Philippians 4:19.

This verse is saying that God will meet all of your needs.

And when you are putting faith in Jesus Christ, it means that you are leaning on him for all you need.

So don’t be scared to ask God because he will always provide what is best for us, even if it isn’t what we want.

And the other great thing about this verse is that it says he will meet your needs according to His riches, not ours!

9. This is what the LORD says to you: ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s. – 2 Chronicles 20:15

It’s like God is telling us not to be afraid when we are in a bad situation because he will fight for us!

So next time you feel overwhelmed with whatever it may be, just remember that the battle belongs to God and nothing else.

And then pray and ask him for help because there is no way that we can do it without him.

It will all work out in the end so just have faith!

10. “For we live by faith, not by sight.” – 2 Corinthians 5:7.

This is saying that we live by faith instead of what we see, hear or feel.

And this verse can be applied to any area in our lives where it requires us to have faith, like when you are waiting for something good to happen or if you need an answer from God about something.

Because sometimes He does take a while to respond, but it is always for our own good.

So trust in him, and he will answer you when the time is right!

11. The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!” He replied, “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you. – Luke 17:5-6

Jesus is telling us to have faith as small as a mustard seed!

And what this means is that you can do anything if your faith in God is strong enough.

So start each day with prayer and then go about your business, knowing that he will guide you throughout the whole thing.

Through Jesus, all things are possible!

12. “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” – Hebrews 11:1

This is saying that faith gives us the assurance of what we hope for and conviction on things that are not visible.

So if you ever feel like your prayers aren’t working or God isn’t listening, this verse says otherwise because he hears us, and he sees how we are believing.

And then, instead of doubting him, have faith in his promises because they will always come true.

So be sure to trust in him, and he will guide you throughout your whole life!
