Skincare is vital for glowy and beautiful skin. Doing the right things to your skin during the day and at night will leave your skin happy. Here are seven skin care mistakes that you may be doing that is damaging your skin:
1. Avoiding sunscreen
Sunscreen is a necessary part of skincare. The sun can be quite harsh on the skin. Sunscreen is a protective layer that keeps your skin from the sun burn, leading to dry skin and wrinkles.
2. Going to bed with makeup on
Washing your makeup before bed will free your pores of anything that can clog them. Clog pores manifest as acne and different skin irritations.
3. Using multiple products
Your skin is not a dumping ground for products. Using multiple new products at a time or for a short period of time will only cause your skin to suffer. The skin requires time to adapt to a few new products at a time.
4. Always touching your face
If it is one thing COVID-19 has taught us, it is to stop touching our faces often. Randomly touching your face transfers dirt and infections onto your face. Some of these infections trigger acne and other skin manifestations.
5. Too little exfoliation or too much exfoliation
The proper amount of exfoliation will leave your skin feeling soft and clean. Too much exfoliation dry out the skin and can cause itching. Too little exfoliation leaves the build-up of debris on the skin that can trigger different skin irritations.
6. Using dirty beauty blenders and brushes
Dirty face cloth, towels, beauty blenders, or brushes transfer dirt and bacteria unto your skin, so wash and dry the brushes and any other materials you use on your skin.
7. Poor eating habits and water intake
The health of your skin is spontaneously connected to your diet and water intake. The skin can be manipulated externally with makeup to look beautiful, but if your diet and water intake are poor, makeup won’t be able to cover up the blemishes for long.
Take care of your skin from the inside out, and you will always have healthy skin.
