They highlighted that very few people sleep in a room with a temperature of 15-18 degrees (optimal for a night’s rest), so that body heat should be supplied during sleep specifically through the legs, which in turn helps the body to regulate its temperature better and quickly.
Moreover, according to a study published in Aviation, Space, and Environmental Medicine, cooling of the feet is very beneficial in lowering total body temperature to get better sleep.
