3 Things God wants for you

Things God wants for you

Here I’m showing you three things God wants for you.

This is going to be super interesting.

Before the beginning of our time and creation, God already had a plan mapped out for his creation.

Being God, he can see into the future.

How? Because He is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.

Jeremiah 1:5 states:

“Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you before you were born. I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”

God did not only know us before, but He knows us intimately now.

 In Matthew 10:30-32, it states:

“But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows. So everyone who acknowledges me before men, I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven,”

In life, we all have desires, like having a family, being rich, being famous, etc.

But because God knows us so well and loves us so much, he knows what we need the most, and He wants that for us.

In fact, from the time of Adam and Eve, our hearts were corrupted: every day, you and me, We chase after things that are not always pleasing in the eyes of God.

The truth is:

As His children, we need to submit those things at his feet.

Our idea of happiness and joy is nothing compared to what He has in store for us.

That said:

Let’s take a closer look at the three things God wants for you.

1. God wants to give you a new heart

As Ezekiel 36:26 explains:

I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.

The reason he wants this for us is that we need to change and become Holy like Him.

This does not mean we gain His power: This means we become righteous and pure so we can enter His kingdom that He is establishing.

2. God wants to give eternal life to you

John 3:16 says:

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Many people know this verse, but so few truly understand it and actually believe it to be true.

We need to grasp the realness of what eternal life means: it means we will never die again.

Once you die here on Earth, you will be resurrected in Jesus Christ if you believe in Him and turn away from your sin in repentance.

3. God wants to fill you with Holiness

Leviticus 11:44 states:

I am the LORD your God; consecrate yourselves and be holy because I am holy. Do not make yourselves unclean by any creature that moves along the ground.

This is not only something God wants for us, but He commands us to pursue this.

Behind the words of this verse is a caring father who wants His children to be pure and innocent again because He cannot be in the presence of sin:

Being in his presence as a sinful being without the covering of Jesus’ blood is fatal.

We could die in His presence because of His Holiness.

(This is why priests in the Old Testament had to tie their legs with ropes when entering the temple because if they died in there, they could at least have someone pull their body out)

We usually have in mind that what is good for us isn’t, We don’t only have this life to live, but that is the reality.

In essence

God has given us eternal life, and the choices we make here impact where and to whom we belong in that life.

Our soul purpose as His children is to glorify Him above everything, and that is truly what He wants according to scripture.
