How word of God can reduce your stress, fear, and anxiety

word of God

By studying the word of God and praying to God, you can reduce your stress, fear, and anxiety weighing down your soul and mind.

Life is full of challenges. Some of these challenges are so intense that they may make someone develop stress, fear, or anxiety.

If these are not handled well, they may affect someone’s physical, emotional, and spiritual health. In such conditions, someone cannot be productive and accomplish God’s purpose here on the earth.

One will live a defeated life full of agony and a lot of regrets.

And you know that this is one of the tricks of the devil to make us live defeated lives by instilling fear, anxiety, or stress in our lives.

But we have the power to defeat this. Power to resist the devil’s evil tricks and live a life free from fear, anxiety, or stress. God has given us His word, which is the remedy of all of this.

God’s word can reduce stress, fear, and anxiety and make us live free from all this. What God’s word is speaking about us, we should simply believe, and it will become in our lives.

Why you should not fear

Something surprisingly is that if you searched for the phrase ‘do not fear,’ it appears at least 365 times in the entire Bible.

This is a reminder from God to live every day of our lives fearlessly. We can wake up every day trusting God and depending on His promises written in His word.

Word of God

The word of God has the power to set you free from stress, fear, or anxiety if only you believe it’s the power to do so. We should therefore have faith in every word of God that speaks concerning these situations in life.

Whenever we are faced with a tough situation in life, instead of allowing fear, stress, or anxiety to rule us, we should trust God.

Read His word, especially in areas that talk about the situation that we are in, and believe that whatever God speaks to us through His word is true.

This is exactly what David did when the Philippines captured him in Gath. Instead of allowing fear to control him, this is what he said. Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You. In God (I will praise His word), In God, I have put my trust; I will not fear. What can flesh do to me? (Psalms, 56:3-4).

David knew that circumstances would come in life where he would develop the fear, but that should never be the end of everything. He had to continue trusting in God and His word. He, therefore, made a personal decision that he will not allow fear to rule him.

We can also make such a declaration based on the promises of God in His word. And from the story of David in the Bible, we see him being delivered from the enemies because he was anchored on the word of God.

When we encounter such scriptures like this; Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7 NIV) we should believe what God is speaking to us is true.

Our God is so caring that He is always calling upon us to cast all anxiety that may come our way.

God wants us to enter into a period of rest in our lives. A period that we won’t be moved no matter the situations that surround us.

This is when we have put our trust in Him and His word. Let us, therefore, be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience.

For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. (Hebrews 4:11-12).

In conclusion

When all this happens in our lives, we possess the peace of God that can never be understood by any human being.

We will be passing through tough situations in life and yet not moved but have peace inside of us. We will only be casting everything to God through prayer.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Philippians, 4:6-7).

Therefore, God’s word is the ultimate solution to stress, fear, and anxiety that we may encounter in life.
